Each university is different but what you do is very similar, some will now do everything on line others will require you to attend on on a specific day.  You must have a Tax File Number, (TFN)

Many universities now do their enrollment on line.  As general information though this is what might happen.  When you get your offer from the university you will be given information on how to enroll in the course.  You will be given an ID and a password.  You will then need to get on line and enroll using the information given.  You will be given a link to the enrollment guide.  There will be on-campus information sessions for each faculty which you will need to attend.  You will need to enroll in units and some electives.  Lecture times will be set and you will be expected choose your tutorial times yourself.

Some of the things that will be covered in the information sessions you must attend are-;

1.  Lectures, what they are and what to do in there.

2.  How to use the universities I.T.

3.  Library orientation.

4.  Support services offered.

5.  Academic skills, this covers such things as note taking, completing assignments etc.

6.  Disability services.

7.  Scholarship information.

O Week
O Week stands for Orientation Week which is really your first week on campus. During this week you will be able to attend lectures that explain how the university system operates. You will cover such things as how the library works, how the IT system works and you will find out about the services that are offered by the university. Some of these will include medical help, assistance in lectures and assignments and each course will have an introduction to the course. Clubs and societies in the university will also be available to join and find out about. This week will also be a week for you to get to know your lecturers and the Student Union will also be available for consultation on what assistance they can provide.
